Follow the Money

Candidates for city council and mayor are required to keep track of the money coming into and going out of their campaign accounts through the state’s OCPF (Office of Campaign and Political Finance) website.

On September 25, 2023, Quincy Votes! downloaded all 2023 campaign finance information available to date for every mayoral and council candidate to compare: the total amount of money they had received; the average amount of each donation; and the percentage of their donations coming from residents of Quincy and its neighborhoods (for example, donations labeled as coming from Wollaston, North Quincy, Squantum, etc.). Take a look at the results below, which are focused on contested races.
