Jan. 31 fundraiser: Senator Keenan, live music, and silent auction!

Quincy Votes Local! 2025 fundraiser

Friday, Jan. 31, 6 - 9 pm

Cagney’s Restaurant (214 Washington Street)

Our first fundraiser is just days away, and it is shaping up to be an event you won’t want to miss (buy a ticket here)!

State Senator John Keenan, who serves as Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Election Laws, will be one of the guest speakers, local musician Jon Gorey will provide live entertainment, and we’ll have a silent auction where you can bid on donated items and services worth more than $5,000, including:

  • Consultations:

    • Certified horticulturist Ben Houston

    • Certified arborist Ben Kirby

A huge thank you goes out to the individuals and companies that graciously offered their time and resources for the silent auction.

We are also extremely grateful to our generous sponsors, who donated at least $200 to this fundraiser:

  • Patricia Mortimer

We’ll use the money we raise for multilingual materials and community events to get out the vote in one of the lowest-turnout and highest-diversity areas of the city: ward 6, precinct 2. Just 12% of eligible voters in that precinct cast ballots in the last similar election in 2021, and we will work to surpass that rate in 2025.

We hope you can join us on Friday at Cagney’s – we’d love to see you in person and share our plans for Quincy Votes Local! 2025.

And if you don’t get enough of us on Friday night, please join us on Saturday morning for our monthly members meeting. We’ll be meeting online @ 10 am on Saturday, Feb. 1 (Zoom: bit.ly/quincyvotesmeeting). On the agenda will be all the things we can do with the money we raise on Friday!
