We’re excited to have these guest speakers joining us:

Senator John Keenan

Senator John Keenan has represented Norfolk and Plymouth districts in the state legislature since 2010 and now acts as the Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Election Laws. Previously, he served as a Quincy city councilor, director of Norfolk County’s retirement system, and chief of staff to Quincy Mayor Jim Sheets. Raised in Quincy, Senator Keenan studied law at Suffolk University and public administration at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Alexander Schramm

Alexander Schramm is a senior at North Quincy High School who will be majoring in Politics and Economics at Brown University. Alex has been a student board member of Quincy Votes! for almost two years, and he serves as president of Political Engagement Club and Debate Club at North Quincy. He has served as a Portuguese-ELL curriculum assistant for the CMS SWELL academy. Alex currently is an administrative intern at a law office.

Dr. Christian Chun

Dr. Christian Chun is a professor in the Applied Linguistics department at the University of Massachusetts Boston who works at the intersection of language, politics, and economics. His extensive work explores issues of class, race, and identity in sociolinguistics and political economy.

Amy Tan

Amy Tan is a school committee representative at North Quincy High School, and she will be pursuing a government-related degree at Harvard University. Amy has also been a student board member of Quincy Votes! for almost two years, and she is National Honor Society President, Band Section Leader, and Quiz Bowl Co-Captain. She has interned at the state house and a couple of political organizations/campaigns.
