The following items were on the agenda, but the volunteer was not present at the time some of them were reviewed (Pageant Field through Mitchell McCoy). We will need to see the official meeting minutes to confirm they were all approved.

PAGEANT FIELD:
Tiffany Sawyer-Brimage of the Quincy After School, requests use on May 14, 2025 from 9 am to 2:30 pm for Year End Field Day. - fee waived
Patrick Gould of the Central Middle School in Quincy requests use on Monday June 9, 2025 from 8 am to 2 pm for an End of Year Field Day. - fee waived
Joseph MacRitchie of Atlantic Middle School requests use on Monday June 16, 2025 from 9 am to 2:30 pm for an End of Year Field Day. - fee waived
Janet Bargar of the Quincy Teachers request use on Thursday June 19, 2025 from 12 pm to 4 pm for a Retirement Party. - Fee $225
Susan Hughes of Quincyrequests use on Saturday September 20, 2025 from 11 am to 5 pm for a QHS Class of 73 Luncheon - Fee $225
Devon Stahl of Quincy request use on Saturday October 25, 2025 from 10 am to 2 pm for a Family 5k Fun Run. - Fee $225
FORE RIVER CLUBHOUSE:
Dominic D’Olimpio of Quincy requests use on Sunday September 7, 2025 from 12 pm to 4 pm for an Reunion Party. - Fee: $250 for 4 hours
PERKINS FIELD / STREET HOCKEY RINK:
Brendan Byrne of Quincy request use on Friday nights May 2 through June 20 - 5 pm to 7 pm for a neighborhood street hockey league. They hope to have 4 to 6 teams and upwards of 50 kids playing street hockey. The neighborhood parents will supervise. - No fee
FAXON PARK:
Thanh Nguyen of Quincy request use of Faxon Park Pavilion from 9 am to noon on April 13, 2025 for an Easter Egg Hunt. - No fee
SAFFORD PARK:
Walter Hubley of the Wollaston Hill Neighborhood Assn would like to install a “Library Box” at Safford Park. The Quincy High shop students will build and install it.
MITCHELL MCCOY & O’ROURKE FIELDS:
Billy Farrell of the Quincy Youth Baseball and Softball Bambino Program request use from 1 pm to 3 pm on Sunday May 4 to June 22, 2025 for their 7th season providing field access for special needs players in Quincy. - No fee
FENNO STREET:
PICKLEBALL COURTS Tim Rogers of Quincy request use from 1 pm to 3 pm on April 26, 2025, for a USA Pickleball Event sponsored by USA Pickleball. See attachment No fee approved
BASKETBALL COURTS Liana Cunningham Girls Basketball coach at North Quincy High request use on 5 consecutive Friday nights in May (5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30) for Youth Training and development with younger girls. No fee Discussion: Is she charging fees? approved
VETERANS STADIUM:
Kerri Connolly of the Rick DeCristofaro Learning Center request use from 8:30 am to 11:30 am on Friday May 30, 2025 for a Field Day for their Special Needs Students. - No fee / approved
Discussion:No conflicts with schedule
Rugby game on Sunday, so
Friday will be busy, but no conflict
Want special stations set up for kids with motor skill
If they are all coming from the same school, they can walk. Going to Pageant would require a bus.

New Business: Next meeting May 5th (Recreation can go before Park board meeting, so no conflict with opening ceremony of senior Olympics. That weekend is Cleaner / Greener. )
Commissioners Report (Provided by Paul Doherty as Dave Murphy was not present)
Golf Course: had open house for neighbors, members and general public.
Seemed to go well.
Cleaner/Greener planned for May 3rd. Schools will be involved.
History walk was very popular.
Youth soccer has started this past Saturday.
Free Jacks had second game. Two dates reserved in June for playoffs if needed.
Graduations: Quincy College will graduate at the Marriott. Two high schools first Monday and Tuesday in June
Flag Day parade: will be bigger and better. Will have new bands, and drum and bugle corps from 4 states. Saturday, June 14th. Army, and Navy band, and maybe Marine Corps band. Younger people will be staying at the gyms in local schools. (Camping out) Some will come Friday for Saturday and some will come Saturday and leave on Sunday. Bunker Hill parade is on Sunday 15th. Parade will start 1/2 mile longer. Floats will be better, and will highlight different periods in Quincy history. Will have huge flags, with handles, so six groups will carry these historical flags. Youth programs will still march, they will watch. Kids will be set up at Quincy High and see parade go by, and they will come in at the end.
Thousands of bulbs were planted by Scouts, and park department in the fall. Starting to pop now.
Cemetery gate was installed on Sea Street side. Very decorative.
