Reports from Director:

  • April programs have been set; registration started.

    • Street hockey (limit to 40)

    • Sports and More clinic at three fields

    • Senior Olympics starting on May 5th.  Registrations being distributed.

    • Summer 2025 clinic registration will start April 22nd.  Website is updated to show what is being planned,

    • Summer 2025 Swim registration will be in person at Koch complex

  • New Business

    • Reimbursement refunds for cancellation.  Would like board to approve June 13th for cancellation to receive refund.

    • New clinics:  middle school pickleball clinic (replace one of the three tennis registrations).  Also, Hockey and more for grades 4,5,6 and 7,8,9.  Two hours on ice and two hours in the parking lot doing shooting, etc. 

    • Working w/ Free Jacks on a non-contact intro to Rugby.  People from Free Jacks will be teaching rugby.

    • Will also run some once a week clinics.  Street hockey, basketball skills, disc golf, and volleyball and weekend skateboarding clinic 

  • Discussion:  for tennis, most people bring their own rackets; could supply some if someone says they want to try, but don't have one.

  • Skateboarding:  helmet required.  Knee/elbow pads encouraged.

  • Move playground program from Faxon Park to Bradford; Forbes hill will be back this year. 

  • Shannon Grant locations:  night program will change.  Will get more money if run programs in/near housing authority.   Will run basketball program at Taffrail Road Playground.    Still be at Kincaid and welcome young.  Will run a volleyball program at central middle school. 

  • Lacrosse:  we haven't run a program in a few years.  If Quincy Youth Lacrosse want one, they can set it up.  Most kids roll into baseball.
