Quincy residents running for 2023 city election
As of June 6, 2023, the following Quincy residents have pulled nomination papers from the City Clerk’s Office to run for office.
Mayor
Thomas Koch of Newbury Avenue (incumbent)
Anne Mahoney of Ferriter Street (At-Large City Councilor since 2017)
James Maloney of East Squantum Street
Koch was first elected in 2007 and is the longest-serving chief executive in city history.
School Committee (3 members)
Six residents have pulled papers to run for School Committee.
They include all three incumbents whose seats will be contested this year:
Paul Bregoli (Incumbent) of Willow Avenue
Kathryn Hubley (Incumbent) of Marion Street
Frank Santoro (Incumbent) of Lois Terrace
Kathryn Campbell of Cranch Street
Courtney Perdios of Ruggles Street
Liberty Schaaf of Howe Street.
Perdios had been appointed to an open seat on the committee in 2021 and finished fourth in that year’s municipal election. Schaaf also ran in 2021, finishing in fifth place.
School Committee members serve staggered four-year terms, meaning three seats are on the ballot every two years.

Daniel Minton, a resident of Sims Road and retired Quincy police lieutenant
Current Ward 5 Councilor, Charles Phelan has announced he is not seeking re-election.

William Harris (Incumbent) of Ashworth Road.
