Here is the link to the draft Open Space Recreation Plan update

The seven goals of the Open Space plan are:

  • Goal 1: Maintain and Upgrade Parks in a Way that Balances Cost Effectiveness with High Quality Design and Best Management Practices.

  • Goal 2: Encourage Safe Public Access to Waterfront Areas and Water-Based Recreational Activities.

  • Goal 3: Expand Recreational Opportunities to Reflect Quincy’s Cultural Diversity, Community Interests and the Needs of Underserved Populations.

  • Goal 4: Identify Additional Funding Sources for Open and Recreational Spaces.

  • Goal 5: Manage Open Spaces and Natural Resources to Support Quincy’s Sustainability and Resilience to Climate Change.

  • Goal 6: Make Open and Recreational Spaces Accessible to People with Disabilities and Older People.

  • Goal 7: Treat Open Spaces as Experiential Classrooms to Promote Environmental Stewardship.

And under each goal are objectives and action steps to meet the goals.
